A Riehle reunion was held on Sunday, June 23,
2002, at Community Park in Miami Township Ohio, 4 miles East of
Milford Ohio. The gathering was organized by Mary Riehle
Heink of Cincinnati, Bert Riehle of Milford, OH and Dick Riehle
of Anderson Twp. with help from many other family members.
The participants were primarily descendents of
Francis Albert Riehle who was born in nearby Perintown OH and
lived his entire life within a few miles of where the reunion
was held. Francis was the son of Clemens Riehle who
immigrated from Wagshurst Baden Germany. Francis was born in 1863,
died in 1951 and, with his first wife, Anna Catherine Rapp,
raised 11 children. Five generations later Francis and
Anna have numerous descendents with many of them attending this
reunion. Four generations were represented, from F.A.'s
grand children to his g-g-g-grandchildren.

Ray traveled from Nevada for the
reunion while his son (also Ray) came
all the way from Sacramento, CA.

A number of the Riedels (from Roselia Riehle Riedel) came to the reunion from Iowa. Above,

On a hot day, indoors was great for talking or eating...

...but later in the day some ventured outdoors

In addition to thanking all those who helped organize this
reunion, let's not forget
Francis Albert Riehle, his wife Anna and their children,
without whom this reunion
would not have been possible (photographs: above c.1912, below
