I am a descendent of Bartholomew Riehle, who relocated to Farming MN in the late 1800s.

I noticed on the mainpage a link to "how to pronounce Riehle", and was surprised that there is no mention of the "riley" pronunciation. Every Riehle I have met since birth pronounced their name this way.

I am aware of the original Deutche pronunciation (ree' la), and also had heard that there were many derivatives of the surname, which can make genealogy a challenge.

I thought you might be interested in knowing that there is a large number of Riehles that get free green beer on St. Pattie's Day...(c:
